Electricity prices rising in most European markets

In the third week of April, AleaSoft Energy Forecasting noted electricity price hikes across most major European markets, with expectations of further increases in the fourth week due to rising demand. While prices rose in several markets, exceptions were seen in Portugal and Spain, where prices decreased. The surge was attributed to higher gas and CO2 prices, increased demand, and cooler temperatures. Solar energy production increased in Spain and France but decreased in Germany, Italy, and Portugal. AleaSoft anticipates potential changes in solar production for the upcoming week.
