Dans une ère où la transition vers une énergie plus propre et plus efficace est cruciale, l’entreprise zurichoise CLEMAP émerge comme un acteur clé avec une solution innovante. La jeune pousse était l’un des trois lauréats du Smart Energy Start-up Pitch Contest en août dernier. Depuis cette récompense, CLEMAP a encore fait beaucoup de chemin et a notamment remporté un Watt d’Or décerné par l’Office fédéral de l’énergie (OFEN). Rencontre avec Pascal Kienast, COO de CLEMAP.
La solution CLEMAP se compose d’un appareil de mesure compact avec une fonction de commande locale, qui est installé dans le tableau de distribution ou la boîte à fusibles des bâtiments. Cet appareil contient un concentré d’algorithmes et d’interfaces intelligents qui assurent la surveillance de l’électricité : les flux d’énergie dans le bâtiment sont analysés et les charges sont optimisées sur cette base. Un logiciel permet même la commande à distance des stations de charge et établit les décomptes sur demande. « Nos clients sont principalement des électriciens, des fournisseurs de solutions d’électromobilité, des entreprises électriques, des PPE. Nous comptons actuellement 10 employés », rappelle Pascal Kienast.
En septembre 2023, CLEMAP a remporté le prestigieux Watt d’Or dans le domaine de la mobilité efficace. « Le projet primé par l’OFEN, localisé à Zurich, présente des caractéristiques d’avant-garde. Nous y contrôlons 31 stations électriques et nous pouvons prioriser la charge solaire sur chaque point de charge ».
Un partenaire solide en Suisse romande
CLEMAP est également en train de développer le marché en Suisse romande. « Grâce à EVLink, nous avons trouvé un partenaire solide qui travaille sur le terrain et utilise notre technologie. L’équipe s’est agrandie et nous avons réussi à ajouter 2 employés à temps plein pour faire face à la demande croissante. Pratiquement mois après mois, nous avons un approvisionnement record de nos capteurs, ce qui est clairement un signe de confiance de la part de nos clients.
Fondée en 2018, CLEMAP est encore jeune sur le marché. “Nous souhaitons renforcer notre présence en Suisse auprès des clients institutionnels, industriels et du secteur public. Nous faisons également nos premiers pas à l’international pour voir quel marché serait le plus intéressant pour nous. Sur le plan technologique, nous allons intégrer des solutions de facturation à notre portail afin d’offrir une solution combinée entre le contrôle dynamique et la facturation. En outre, nous continuerons à coopérer avec d’autres fournisseurs de borne de recharge et à les inclure dans notre système”.
Un démarrage en fanfare grâce au Smart Energy Start-up Pitch Contest
La participation de CLEMAP au Smart Energy Start-up Pitch Contest de 2023, où elle a remporté le prix de la meilleure innovation, a été un tremplin pour leur visibilité. “Grâce à cet événement et à la cérémonie de remise des prix, nous avons pu atteindre un public en Suisse romande, mais nous n’en sommes qu’au début. C’était une sorte de démarrage en fanfare.”
Avec son engagement envers l’innovation et leur vision ambitieuse pour l’avenir, CLEMAP s’annonce comme un acteur majeur dans la révolution de l’efficacité énergétique.

CLEMAP improves energy efficiency in mobility with cutting-edge technology !
In an era when the transition to cleaner, more efficient energy is crucial, Zurich-based CLEMAP is emerging as a key player with an innovative solution. The start-up was one of three winners of the Smart Energy Start-up Pitch Contest last August. Since then, CLEMAP has come a long way, winning a Watt d’Or from the Swiss Federal Office of Energy (SFOE). Interview with Pascal Kienast, COO of CLEMAP.
The CLEMAP solution consists of a compact measuring device with a local control function, which is installed in a building’s distribution board or fuse box. This device contains a concentrate of intelligent algorithms and interfaces for electricity monitoring: energy flows in the building are analyzed, and loads are optimized on this basis. A software program even enables remote control of charging stations, and provides billing on demand. « Our customers are mainly electricians, suppliers of electromobility solutions, electrical companies and PPEs. We currently have 10 employees, » recalls Pascal Kienast.
In September 2023, CLEMAP won the prestigious Watt d’Or in the field of efficient mobility. « The SFOE-awarded project, located in Zurich, has cutting-edge features. We control 31 electrical stations and can prioritize solar charging at each charging point ».
A strong partner in French-speaking Switzerland
CLEMAP is also developing the market in French-speaking Switzerland. « Thanks to EVLink, we’ve found a solid partner who works in the field and uses our technology. The team has grown and we’ve managed to add 2 full-time employees to cope with the growing demand. Virtually month after month, we have a record supply of our sensors, which is clearly a sign of confidence from our customers.
Founded in 2018, CLEMAP is still young on the market. « We want to strengthen our presence in Switzerland with institutional, industrial and public sector customers. We’re also taking our first steps internationally to see which market would be most interesting for us. On the technological front, we will be integrating billing solutions into our portal to offer a combined solution between dynamic control and billing. In addition, we will continue to cooperate with other charging station suppliers and include them in our system ».
A flying start thanks to the Smart Energy Start-up Pitch Contest
CLEMAP’s participation in the 2023 Smart Energy Start-up Pitch Contest, where it won the prize for best innovation, was a springboard for their visibility. « Thanks to this event and the awards ceremony, we were able to reach an audience in French-speaking Switzerland, but we’re only at the beginning. It was a kind of fanfare start. »
